My first quilt! its a rag quilt made of several chocolate and baby pink prints. it is smaller, meant to be hauled around by little hands. there were some mistakes, but all in all i was delighted with my first quilt
and the happy recipient. she really loved it, which warmed mommy's heart!!!
I'm not quite done with this bag even still today. it was just something to do with the extra scraps i had. I put it aside to come back to another day. But I did make one for my mom. The same idea but just 4 blocks instead of the extra half blocks at the end. it was much more thought out than this. and it was in black and white prints similar to these. The inside i lined with a fuchsia satin. and then the top of the bag was trimmed with fuchsia roses that were feathery and beaded. i am kicking myself for not taking some shots of it before i sent it off. perhaps Ms. Jan, the recipient of my mothers gift, will be so kind to send me some pics. or maybe i will just make another.
this turned out cute. it was my first attempt at one of the crayon rolls that seems so popular this year. the pocket portion is yellow satin. i think it turned out cute and Autumn LOVES it!
All rolled up!
I love this print so i used some scraps to try my hand at covered wipe cases, also popular this year. i did find that lining the top made them much nicer than many i have seen in the boutiques. the ones i have for sell also come filled with unscented sensitive wipes. but i am thinking i will offer them filled with reusable flannel wipes. they are becoming more and more popular lately!
Another wipey case. this is from scraps from the quilt
This was a gift for my sister in law. i wanted for several months to cover a clip board and finally had the opportunity when she graduated college. she is headed off to be a teacher and i thought this might come in handy. we clipped a gift card to the teacher supply to the front. handy card holder ta-boot!!!
